In Indonesia, Indigenous Law Communities, exemplified by West Biak District, Papua, rely on customary law for conflict resolution in their territories. This research aims to address the of ulayat land disputes and optimization existence Numfor Regency. qualitative study District examines law’s role cultural preservation dispute resolution. Primary data from interviews, secondary documents literature, both analyzed insights. The reveals that result unclear boundaries, unfair practices, absence historical witnesses, increased value.
